“所”是相关成分移位之后留下的接应代词,有附缀特征。为核查“所”的附缀特征,动词会受到附缀范畴的扩展,附缀范畴将激发“所”移位到它的指示语位置。以附缀范畴为核心的短语为附缀短语,含有“所”的附缀短语可叫所字短语。所字短语为动词性短语,可分布于主动句、被动句与关系子句中充当谓语或谓语中心。“所”不是助词,而是有附缀特征的代词,在所字短语中充当前置宾语或主语。所字短语在充当关系子句时可以转指 DP,这跟古汉语中的 DP 在 D 没有语音实现的时候容许补足语的删略有关,也跟“所”能为理解提供先行词索引有关。%Suo (所)is a resumptive left by the moved element,and it has a clitic feature.To check the clitic feature of suo ,the Cl(itic)category which extends the lexical verb will trigger suo to move into its Spec position.The phrase headed by Cl is a ClP,and the ClP containing suo can be called the Suo Phrase.The Suo Phrase is verbal,and it can be distributed as a predicate or the core of the predicate in the active sentence,passive sentence or relative clause.Suo is not a particle but a pro-noun with a clitic feature.It can act as a preposed object or a subject.The Suo Phrase can be desig-nated to the whole DP when it’s in the spec of DP,for the null D in Ancient Chinese can license the deletion of its complement.The pronoun suo can provide an index for its antecedent in understanding.
