在《盗火者严复》一书中，李新宇先生通过重返历史现场、打捞历史细节，不仅还原了中国现代思想之初生环境，而且从这一代启蒙者的思想局限和失败经验中，看到了中国现代化出路之所在。这也是今天重读严复、重返启蒙时代的意义。%In his book Yan Fu, A Prometheus, Mr. Li Xinyu has not only restored the initial milieu of Chinese modernism by returning to the historical scenes and delving into historical details but also discovered a way out for China' s modernization by virtue of the ideological limitations and lessons of pathfinders of that generation, which is also the significance of reinterpreting Yan Fu and returning to the enlightenment era nowadays.
