Quality diversity of 'Fuji' apple on the loess plateau in the northwest part of China was attributed to the complexity of ecology conditions. The thermal conditions in this area have important positive effects on the quality of apples. Requirements for the accumulation of soluble solids content (SSC) are: the mean temperatureat about 19℃ in September, the annual effective accumulated thermal unit (℃ D ) above 10℃[EATU above 10℃,] 3500-4000℃.D, and the corresponding elevation between 750-1100m. It is good for the finish of fruit that the relative humidity (RH) in May does not surpass 70% and the mean temperature does not exceed 25℃ in July.
