In this study, nanoscale zero-valent iron (nZVI) and nZVI/reduced graphene oxide (RGO-nZVI) nanocomposites were prepared, and the effect of nZVI, RGO-nZVI and graphene oxide (GO) on Indian marigold were examined by pot trials with contaminated soils amended with nano-materials. The observed results show that 0.05% nZVI and 0.05% RGO-nZVI can wilt the Indian marigold, and they exhibit significant in situ mobility in fluvo-aquic soils. In this paper, the feasibility of improving the phytoremediation efficiency of contaminated soils by amending with nano-materials is also discussed.
