Geophysical Analysis of Main Minerogenetic Belts in China

Minerogenetic domains might be caused by inhomogeneous dynamic and chemical activities during the creation of the original crust. The measurements of abundance of chemical elements have also provided evidence for the inhomogeneous mass distribution. Based on study of deep and superdeep continental drilling, the GOTs and regional geophysical maps, we find that these domains are characterized by higher crustal average density which can be estimated from gravity data after using new data processing and inversion techniques, such as the wavelet transform and multi-scale analysis. By performing the multi-scale analysis of Bouguer gravity field of China, and comparing with geological findings, a prediction of main mineralization zones in the area are presented.
