摘要:
Mark Twain is a famous writer and orator in America.Being distinguished from many greatest American writers,Mark Twain is noted for his language.Humor and satire are the best generalizations of his writing style. He is superior to other contemporary writers in that he not only makes use of humorous language to create a ridiculous atmosphere, but also to raise the curtain over the darkness of American society. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is one of the most typical one that can show his unique language. The author makes a humorous effect through the application of exaggerated language, expands the effect through the explicit and implicit contrast of the discourse, and creates a humorous atmosphere through the use of vernacular and dialect.Based on the discussion of humor and its characteristics, this paper analyzes and arranges the humorous language of Mark Twain in The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and then discusses how Mark Twain achieves the humorous effect by violating the Cooperative Principle, thus revealing the theme.

摘要:
Though with different times and backgrounds, these three masterpieces-"The Egg","The Secret Life of Walter Mitty"and"Shiloh"all humorously characterize the same type protagonist-the"little man".Penetrating the humorous characterization, the three works on the one hand present the rational question of the mainstream society and the serious critique of the dominant forces,on the other hand, they also offer the humanistic affirm and concern of the marginalized little man. Thus, bundle these three master pieces together, this paper makes an effort to analyze the humorous characterization of the little man;the comic gender relationships so as to figure out the coherent thematic significance as well as the philosophical seriousness of humor in these three masterpieces.

摘要:
Humans depend on the coordinated activity of their lower extremities for mobility, an essential feature of Homo sapiens. In addition, they use vision to use this mobility to successfully navigate through their environment. During development, mobility appears to mature first, and then it is coordinated with navigation. Thus, the two, mobility and navigation are likely interdependent in function. Recent studies have indicated that compromising the integrity of the knee, a central element of the lower extremity motion segment, can lead to molecular alterations in both the cornea including the central cornea where light passes, as well as the interior of the eye (the vitreous humor). Not all insults to the knee lead to reproducible alterations in the eye, indicating some specificity in the response. In addition, it was recently reported that alterations to the cells in the vitreous humor occur following dietary induction of obesity in a rat model. As humans with obesity, as well as arthritis of the knee are at risk for ocular involvement and exhibit altered gait characteristics, the clinical and preclinical data raise the possibility of a “knee-eye-brain axis” to control or regulate mobility and navigation. Better delineation of such an axis could have implications for variations in control during maturation, and well as during aging when vision and mobility can be compromised, with increased risk for serious falls and failure to successfully navigate the environment.
