    • 摘要: Assessment of locomotion recovery in preclinical studies of experimental spinal cord injury remains challenging. We studied the CatWalk XT■gait analysis for evaluating hindlimb functional recovery in a widely used and clinically relevant thoracic contusion/compression spinal cord injury model in rats. Rats were randomly assigned to either a T9 spinal cord injury or sham laminectomy. Locomotion recovery was assessed using the Basso, Beattie, and Bresnahan open field rating scale and the CatWalk XT■gait analysis. To determine the potential bias from weight changes, corrected hindlimb(H) values(divided by the unaffected forelimb(F) values) were calculated. Six weeks after injury, cyst formation, astrogliosis, and the deposition of chondroitin sulfate glycosaminoglycans were assessed by immunohistochemistry staining. Compared with the baseline, a significant spontaneous recovery could be observed in the CatWalk XT■parameters max intensity, mean intensity, max intensity at%, and max contact mean intensity from 4 weeks after injury onwards. Of note, corrected values(H/F) of CatWalk XT■parameters showed a significantly less vulnerability to the weight changes than absolute values, specifically in static parameters. The corrected CatWalk XT■parameters were positively correlated with the Basso, Beattie, and Bresnahan rating scale scores, cyst formation, the immunointensity of astrogliosis and chondroitin sulfate glycosaminoglycan deposition. The CatWalk XT■gait analysis and especially its static parameters, therefore, seem to be highly useful in assessing spontaneous recovery of hindlimb function after severe thoracic spinal cord injury. Because many CatWalk XT■parameters of the hindlimbs seem to be affected by body weight changes, using their corrected values might be a valuable option to improve this dependency.

    • 摘要: Introduction: Low birth weight (LBW) is defined as a birth weight 2500 g at birth, regardless of the term of pregnancy. The objective of this study is to evaluate their stature and weight growth from 0 to 9 months of corrected age (CA) in Senegal. Methodology: This is a prospective, descriptive, and analytical cohort follow-up up to 9 months of CA including all live newborns of LBW hospitalized and followed up from 01 August 2019 to 31 May 2020. World Health Organization growth charts were used to assess stature and weight growth. Results: During the study 136 LBW newborns were included. The mean gestational age was 32 weeks of amenorrhea. At discharge, 46 children (33.82%) were exclusively breastfed. At birth, the mean weight was 1487 g (3rd-10th percentile) and the mean height was 41.52 cm (10th-25th percentile). At 9 months of CA, the mean weight was 8119 g (median) and the mean height was 74 cm (median). The children had achieved satisfactory growth in weight (84%) and height (89%). At 9 months of CA, 27% of the children were behind in one of the four areas of psychomotor development. Conclusion: At the end of 9 months of CA, stature and weighted growth was normal.

    • 摘要: Purpose: Compared to levels in the general population, people with experiences of psychosis have poorer physical fitness, more sedentary behaviour, lower physical activity, more sleep problems, and a higher incidence of insomnia. The aim of the current study was to examine the feasibility and impact of an intervention with the goal of addressing these issues. Method: Design: intervention with outcome measure data collection, with no control group. Forty-nine early intervention psychosis (EIP) service patients took part in an intervention: provision of a Fitbit, Fitbit software apps, sleep hygiene, and physical activity guidance, and three discussion sessions with clinicians. The sample consisted of 29 males and 20 females, with age range of 17 - 54 years, and average age of 29.5 years. Measures used were Fitbit activity and sleep data, and self-rated Warwick–Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale (WEMWBS) and Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS). Results: WEMWBS scores significantly improved, with a medium effect size. PANAS negative affect (NA) dropped significantly. Analysis of Fitbit activity and sleep data yielded non-significant results. Conclusion: The intervention was acceptable to EIP patients and is feasible. Improvements in mental wellbeing and negative affect indicate the positive impact of the intervention on mental health. EIP services should consider assessing sleep quality and physical activity/exercise levels, and using this study’s intervention to promote wellbeing and mental health within recovery focused practice. Further research could be undertaken through a sufficiently powered randomised control trial (RCT) comparing this intervention and treatment as usual (TAU).

    • 摘要: Purpose–This study aims to analyze the development direction of train speed,density and weight in China.Design/methodology/approach–The development of China’s railway in the past 40 years can be divided into 3 stages.At the stage of potential tapping and capacity expansion,it is important to improve the train weight and density by upgrading the existing lines,and improving transportation capacity rapidly.At the stage of railway speed increase,the first priority is to increase train speed,reduce the travel time of passenger train,and synchronously take into account the increase of train density and weight.At the stage of developing high-speed railway,train speed,density and weight are co-developing on demand.Findings–The train speed of high-speed railway will be 400 km h1,the interval time of train tracking will be 3 min,and the traffic density will be more than 190 pairs per day.The running speed of high-speed freight EMU will reach 200 km h1 and above.The maximum speed of passenger train on mixed passenger and freight railway can reach 200 km h1.The minimum interval time of train tracking can be compressed to 5 min.The freight train weight of 850 m series arrival-departure track railway can be increased to 4,500–5,000 t and that of 1,050 m series to 5,500–6,400 t.EMU trains should gradually replace ordinary passenger trains to improve the quality of railway passenger service.Small formation trains will operate more in intercity railway,suburban railway and short-distance passenger transportation.Originality/value–The research can provide new connotations and requirements of railway train speed,density and weight in the new railway stage.

    • 摘要: Nearly 80% of patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC)develop cachexia along their disease course.Cachexia is characterized by progressive weight loss,muscle wasting,and systemic inflammation and has been linked to poorer outcomes and impairments in quality of life.Management of PDAC cachexia has historically involved a multidisciplinary effort comprised of nutritional support,pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy,and/or pharmacologic interventions.Despite current interventions to mitigate PDAC cachexia,a significant proportion of patients continue to die from complications associated with cachexia underscoring the need for novel insights and treatments for this syndrome.We highlight the feasibility and effectiveness of a recent enteral feeding prospective trial at our institution to improve cachexia outcomes in patients with advanced PDAC.Additionally,we were among the first to characterize the stool microbiome composition in patients with advanced PDAC receiving enteral feeding for the treatment of cachexia.Novel insights into the relationship between enteral nutritional support,cachexia,and the gut microbiome are presented.These promising results are discussed in the context of a potential ability to modulate the stool microbiome as a new interventional strategy to mitigate PDAC cachexia.

    • 摘要: In the present study,a hazard model of severe convective weather was constructed on the basis of meteorological observational data obtained in Guangdong Province between 2003 and 2015.In the analysis,quality control was first conducted on the severe convective weather data,and the kriging method was then used to interpolate each hazard-formative factor.The weights of which were determined by applying the coefficient of variation method.The results were used to establish the hazard-formative factor model of severe convective weather.The cities showing the greatest hazards for severe convective weather in Guangdong Province include Yangjiang,Dongguan,Foshan,Huizhou,Jiangmen,and Qingyuan.

    • 摘要: The multimodel inference makes statistical inferences from a set of plausible models rather than from a single model.In this paper,we focus on the multimodel inference based on smoothed information criteria proposed by seminal monographs(see Buckland et al.(1997)and Burnham and Anderson(2003)),which are termed as smoothed Akaike information criterion(SAIC)and smoothed Bayesian information criterion(SBIC)methods.Due to their simplicity and applicability,these methods are very widely used in many fields.By using an illustrative example and deriving limiting properties for the weights in the linear regression,we find that the existing variance estimation for SAIC is not applicable because of a restrictive condition,but for SBIC it is applicable.Especially,we propose a simulation-based inference for SAIC based on the limiting properties.Both the simulation study and the real data example show the promising performance of the proposed simulationbased inference.

    • 摘要: In this paper,a novel precoding scheme based on the Gauss-Seidel(GS)method is proposed for downlink massive multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO)systems.The GS method iteratively approximates the matrix inversion and reduces the overall complexity of the precoding process.In addition,the GS method shows a fast convergence rate to the Zero-forcing(ZF)method that requires an exact invertible matrix.However,to satisfy demanded error performance and converge to the error performance of the ZF method in the practical condition such as spatially correlated channels,more iterations are necessary for the GS method and increase the overall complexity.For efficient approximation with fewer iterations,this paper proposes a weighted GS(WGS)method to improve the approximation accuracy of the GS method.The optimal weights that accelerate the convergence rate by improved accuracy are computed by the least square(LS)method.After the computation of weights,the different weights are applied for each iteration of the GS method.In addition,an efficient method of weight computation is proposed to reduce the complexity of the LS method.The simulation results show that bit error rate(BER)performance for the proposed scheme with fewer iterations is better than the GS method in spatially correlated channels.
