摘要
FIELD: hydraulic engineering.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of ecology, environmental protection, and environmental management, and can be used for purification of river water, and also contributes to creation of a supply of fresh water for household and domestic needs of the population. The substance of the invention consists in using a two-level river structure of the Crimean Peninsula to create a reserve (conduct induced infiltration) of fresh water by transferring the surface river flow into paleochannels consisting of "ancient alluvium" gravel. The method for using the two-level river structure of the Crimean Peninsula for the water supply of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol consists in the fact that in order to use the two-level structure of mountain rivers to accumulate water resources, an underground water reservoir is formed by diverting water from the existing modern riverbeds 2 (level 1), before the regulator lock 3 located in the riverbed downstream, through a system of drainage channels 4, the width whereof is comparable to the width of the riverbeds, into vertical infiltration pools (shaft wells) 5 into the rock 1 to 20 meters below the daytime surface in the layer of buried paleochannels 6 of the rivers (level 2), consisting of a water bearing stratum and a water-resistant underlying layer.;EFFECT: advantages of the method are the use of the natural hydrogeological conditions of the paleochannels of the rivers of the Crimean Peninsula for forming an underground water reserve in the amount of 80 million m3 per year without capital expenses for building the water reservoirs, water passage ways, and operating costs for transporting water to the water intake, the absence of water losses for evaporation, as well as the prevention of flooding of the land by floodwaters and pollution of the sea area; up to 75% of the annual Crimean river flow can be used therein.;5 cl, 1 dwg
