The present invention is a method for removing arsenic from arsenic-contaminated soil, comprising the steps of simultaneously adding a reducing agent and a chelating agent to arsenic-contaminated soil, simultaneously extracting amorphous iron oxide as well as arsenic bound to crystalline iron oxide, and more efficiently than conventional methods can remove arsenic from the soil. Also, by reducing the formation of divalent minerals, the amount of reabsorption or precipitation of arsenic is reduced, and the bioabsorbability of arsenic is reduced, thereby reducing the potential risk to the human body.
