PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of laser welding quality inspection and a laser welding quality inspection apparatus capable of determining welding abnormality with higher accuracy. SOLUTION: The method of laser welding quality inspection is a method of welding quality inspection of a welded portion between a joint and a joint when welding the joint and the joint by irradiating the joint with a laser beam. The step of acquiring the signal intensity of the thermal radiation light emitted from the welded portion during welding, the step of acquiring the signal intensity of the plasma light emitted from the welded portion during welding, and the acquired thermal radiation. It includes a step of determining whether or not an abnormality has occurred in the weld based on the comparison between the signal intensity of light and the signal intensity of plasma light.
