Contentious cancellation manner and its device null of cascade

PURPOSE: To evade reblocking and to reduce competition conditions by specifying the route of each connection request packet to an initial priority direction allocated to a cross link between cross bar switches when the priority direction is usable. ;CONSTITUTION: Cross bar switches(SWs) 1, 2 and devices A to E are connected to the switch ports p1 to p9 of the SWs 1, 2 through cross links L1, L2 and links 17 to 20, 30. At first, the transmission priority of port p1 → p6 and p7 →p2 directions is allocated to the links L1, L2 and recorded in a port state table. Respective SWs 1, 2 process a destination link address in a connection request packet by using the table and judge whether the priority link can be used or not. The SWs 1, 2 connect the request to a priority port or answers rejection indicating port busy in accordance with the judgement. Consequently the permission and rejection of a connection request passing the SWs 1, 2 can be effectively controlled and competition conditions can be reduced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
