PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-temperature superconducting coil where performance of high temperature superconducting wire having magnetic field direction dependency of critical current density is fully exhibited, current density is high, loss of flux flow is small, and a magnetic field which can be used is large. ;SOLUTION: In this high-temperature superconducting coil, pure silver matrix wire is used at a part position where a magnetic field vertical to the tape surface of a high-temperature superconduting wire 2 is large, and a silver alloy matrix wire is used at a part position where a magnetic field component parallel to the tape surface is the main component.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
