Matching calculation algorithm and motion trace algorithm using matching calculation algorithm

PURPOSE: A matching computation algorithm and a motion tracking algorithm using the same are provided to precisely track motions in a short time when motions are generated in a screen, by using a matching computation algorithm searching equal blocks at a high speed. CONSTITUTION: A matching computation algorithm includes the steps of obtaining a mean of respective sub blocks after dividing a reference frame and a comparing frame into the plurality of sub blocks, generating first and second means by averaging the means of the sub blocks composing the reference blocks and the comparing blocks, converting data of the reference frame and the comparing blocks into first and second data frames formed of 1 bit respectively on the basis of the first and second means, comparing the first and second data frames to each other, searching blocks in which the first and second means equal to each other, and comparing real data of the equal blocks. The motion tracking algorithm includes the steps of searching data having no change by the matching computation algorithm, forming increase/decrease patterns for data having changes(200), computing change amount of the data(300), searching a block having most changes(400), generating a mean by comparing all pixels of the block(500), and generating a motion vector by the result value(600).
