The method for measuring any deviations from the form and the position of the surfaces and the axes of rotational large-size parts is used in the heavy and transport mechanical engineering, in the power industry, etc. By it, the radial and front wobbling of the respective surfaces is measured, and the primary measuring information is processed without any requirements for the accuracy of the initial base - the initial base axis. The method comprises bringing the results of the measurement of the radial and front wobbling to a virtual initial base - virtual base axis, representing a straight line, getting across the centroids of the points of the momentary axes of revolution in the sections of two rings (1 and 2), fitted to the end front surfaces of the part (3), approximately coaxially to its geometric axis. Any deviations for circularity in the sections of the two rings (1 and 2) and deviations from plane position of the front surface of one of them are known in advance, or are negligibly small. Bringing the results from the measurement of the radial and front wobbling to the virtual initial base happens by the introduction in these results of respective amendments, excluding any effect of any wondering radial and axial wobble. 8 claims, 1 figure
