The circuit board has a conductor layer (2) comprising a recess (7) in an area of a contact zone (5). A contact unit (6) to be contacted with the layer with the conductor layer is plugged in the recess. An area of the layer is formed as a part of the edge of the recess, where the part contacts and accommodates the contact unit. The edge of the recess comprises a protrusion (8) that is curved relative to the level of the layer. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a printed circuit board.
