PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buried depth correcting device, capable of outputting a buried depth with higher precision by correcting a calculated buried depth value of a buried position which specifies the device detecting the buried depth of a metal cable on the ground.;SOLUTION: When the distance from the metal cable 11 to a lower horizontal coil 31-2 is a tentative buried depth, a plurality of buried depths predicted to be calculated by the buried position specifying device 3 are obtained for the different tentative buried depth, and are compared with the buried depth of the metal cable 11, that is actually calculated by the buried position specifying device 3. The tentative buried depth used in the calculation of the buried depth where the buried depth that is actually calculated by the buried position specifying device 3 agrees with, or is closest to the buried depth predicted to be calculated by the buried position specifying device 3 is calculated as the true buried depth.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
