The closure has a floating piston positioned with a sealing function and drilling-progress-dependent automatic release function at a lower end of a liner, where head of an inner core pipe is sealed. A force resulting from hydrostatic pressure and affecting the piston is initialized by a force-fit contact of the piston with sediments to be sampled. A core production process is supported at the piston by force play, where movement of the piston is not affected by mechanical components.
