The device (1) has several presses (2) for forming a printed circuit board to molded portion (F). The optical detection units (3,4) for optical detection of molded portion or semi-finished product, are arranged in the region of press. The detection units are coupled to evaluation unit (5) for analysis of detected data and detection of defects on the molded or semi-finished portion using detection units based on the evaluation. The evaluation unit is coupled to marking unit (6) for applying a mark (M) on the molded portion or semi-finished event of detected fault. An independent claim is included for method for manufacturing moldings in press line.
