A method for constructing submarine topography and geomorphology based on the fusion of bathymetric data from multiple sources, which achieves the reasonable splicing of various kinds of data, such as multi-beam sounding, single-beam sounding, a historical topographic map, global topography, etc., and the construction of submarine topography. The method comprises the following steps: converting a historical submarine topographic map into grid data; converting bathymetric data from other sources into grids; evaluating the accuracy of the bathymetric data from different sources by using an addition and correlation method; fusing, cutting and splicing the bathymetric data from multiple sources by using a multi-layer method, so as to establish an error distribution model, thereby conducting reasonable correction and fusion on the bathymetric data from each source; and constructing multi-source bathymetric submarine topography and grids. In the marine charting and mapping process, the method can effectively use data from multiple sources to improve the accuracy and comprehensive utilization efficiency of historical bathymetric data, and has important practical application values in the marine charting, submarine topography and geomorphology mapping and submarine scientific research.
