The present invention relates to a solar cell and a power conversion efficiency improving method thereof. The solar cell according to the present invention includes a first electrode, a hole collecting layer which is formed on the first electrode, a photoactive layer which is formed on the hole collecting layer, a bipolar layer which is formed on the photoactive layer and includes bipolar molecules, and a second electrode which is formed on the bipolar layer. The solar cell further includes a pressure applying unit to apply pressure to compress the solar cell.
