PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To match timings at which two independent photons pass through a beam splitter by use of a beam splitter and a photon detector without using a spontaneously emitted photon to which timing control cannot be applied so that quantum entanglements of the two independent photons are securely generated.SOLUTION: In a quantum entanglement generation method, quantum entanglements of a first coupled quantum dot 1 and a second coupled quantum dot 2 are generated by the following steps of: injecting pump light into the first coupled quantum dot 1 coupling two quantum dots and the second coupled quantum dot 2 coupling two quantum dots; and detecting a stokes photon or an anti-stokes photon generated by Raman scattering when the pump light is injected through a beam splitter 3 by photon detectors 4 and 5.
