A reliable core competency diagnosis method calculated by personality, communication, resource/information/technology utilization, comprehensive thinking power, personal relations, and self-management items includes the steps of: determining the score (xk) of each program (k) which a student takes; determining a capability application weight (wik) between each program (k) and each core competency (i); and assigning the capability application weight (wik) to the score (xk) of each program (k) to calculate a core competency score (yi).
