The present invention relates to a role of c-FLIP in HBV replication. According to the present invention, an action mechanism is found that a DED2 region of c-FLIP interacts with HBx, and a DED1 region protects HBx from being degraded by ubiquitin to replicate HBV. In addition, the present invention confirmed that c-FLIP increases the expression of hepatocyte nuclear factor (HNF) 1α and/or HNF3β involved in HBV activity and promotes HNF4α transcription to replicate HBV. Therefore, the present invention is to provide a novel action mechanism in which c-FLIP expresses HBV replication in hepatocytes.
