SHELF INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND CONSUMER TREND ANALYSIS SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to grasp timing of commodity replenishment to a commodity shelf more easily.;SOLUTION: An ultrasonic sensor 31 is installed behind a commodity row for each commodity row to which a device to automatically put commodities forward is installed. By using ultrasonic wave emitted from the ultrasonic sensor 31, the number of remaining commodities in each commodity row is calculated by a distance measuring module 32 according to a measured distance. The calculated number of remaining commodities is compared with a prescribe threshold, then the necessity of commodity restocking is determined for each commodity row. If existence of a commodity row needing commodity restocking is determined, the effect is notified to a sales clerk.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3;COPYRIGHT: (C)2020,JPO&INPIT
