This Investigation was authorized by reference (a) for the purpose of determining what effect the addition of uranium had on the susceptibility of high strength steel to hydrogen embrittlement.nSamples of two steels were shipped to the Aeronautical Materials labora-tory from the Canadian Department of Mines and Technical Surveys for evalua-tion with respect to hydrogen embrittlement susceptibility.
