La Motte's organic ethereal olis

Renowned wine estate La Motte in Fran-schhoek in the Western Cape began in 2005 to grow ethereal oil crops. Today Rose Geranium (Pelargonium Graveolens), Lavandine (La-vandine x Intermedia Abriabus), Buchu (Aqath-osma Betulina) and Cape Snowbush (Eriocephalus Punctulatus) are cultivated on 20ha of the estate. Rose Geranium, Buchu and Cape Snowbush are all indigenous to South Africa. Rose Geranium, with its spectacular rose scent, is also found in places such as Reunion.
