Oranjezicht city Farm From bowls green to a growing green

In the 1 700s the farm "Oranje Zigt" located in the environs of Cape Town grew produce to supply ships on the trade route with fresh fruit and vegetables. Within the suburb in the 50s a bowling green was constructed, which over time became disused andderelict. It's incarnated again into theOranjezicht City Farm, a neighbourhood non-profit project "celebrating local food and community".The local community in fact got together and had a dream of a community vegetable garden here in 2009 and by February 2012 the inspiring OCF was completed.
