The preparation and properties of two series of polymers based on nickel complexes of the tetrathiafulvalene tetrathiolate (ttftt) of stoichiometry [ (Ni-ttftt)M-x](n) (M = Mn, Co, Ni, Cu, Hg; x = 0.9, 1.1, 1.0, 1.0, 0.8) and [ (Ni-ttftt) Ln(y)](n) (Ln = La, Sm, Eu; y = 0.7; Ln = Gd, TD, Er; y= 0.6) are described. The insoluble amorphous polymer complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra, TG-DTA techniques, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and conductivity measurements.
