Use of the cyclodextrin unit for the preparation of Langmuir-Blodgett films of tetrathiafulvalene derivatives

The cyclodextrin fragment was persubstituted with pendant redox-active tetrathiafulvalene moieties. These molecular assemblies allow an efficient access to Langmuir-Blodgett films of tetrathiafulvalene derivatives, independently of their hydrophobic character. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science S.A.
