Highlights of the 57~th Annual SES Conference

The Standards Engineering Society (SES) held its 57~th annual conference during August 18-19,2008 in San Diego, California. Following is a report of the a conference. The theme of this year's conference, "The World of Standards: Is It Really a Zoo Out There?" not only referenced the location of the famous San Diego Zoo; it also inspired some creative session topics and all sorts of imaginative references to the animal kingdom. The Conference Committee put together sessions covering a wide variety of topics with experienced and knowledgeable presenters from industry, government, and standards developers.
