Report on the 2006 US celebration of world standards day

Each year, the US standards and conformity assessment community celebrates World Standards Day to raise awareness of the importance of global standardization to the world economy and to promote its role in helping meet the needs of businesses, industry, government, and consumers worldwide. This year, close to 250 standardization professionals met on October 11 in Washington, DC to commemorate World Standards Day 2006.
