A consumer awareness programme was jointly organized by Small Industries Service Institute, Rourkela and Bureau of Indian Standards, Bhubaneswar on 15 November 2002 at Library Hall of EPM Testing Laboratory, Government of Orissa, Rourkela. Shri S. K. Senapati, Deputy Director Incharge, Small Industries Service Institute, Rourkela while welcoming the delegates expressed his happiness for organizing this type of programme in Rourkela and also viewed that this type of programme could be really beneficial to the segment of small scale industries. While appreciating Bureau of Indian Standards for organizing this type of function he also briefly touched upon the various activities of BIS.
