Plantation Crops Symposium (PLACROSYM) is held biennially at different Research Institutes engaged on Research and Development of Plantation Crops in the country. The crops include arecanut, cashew, cocoa, coconut, coffee, oil palm, rubber, spices andtea. PLACROSYM was initiated with an objective to bring the scientists working on these crops to a common platforrii for interaction and exchange of ideas and technologies developed in various member institutions and to formulate strategies to solve the problems in plantation sector. PLACROSYM - XVIII (eighteenth in the series) was held at National Research Centre for Cashew, Puttur during 10-13 December 2008.
