Constraint analysis of cashew production in south konkan region of maharashtra

摘要

With the evolution of high yielding and hybrid varieties of cashew, the area and production of this crop has been increased many fold in the last two decade. However, cashew growers in Konkan region facing many constraints in achieving higher productivity per unit area. Unavailability of quality planting material, unawareness of recommended fertilizer dose and plant protection schedule were the common constraints. In addition to this, shortage of labour in production season and their high wages werethe constraint reported by cashew growers.
