REPORT ON 'CASHEW DAY' ORGANIZED AT NRCC, PUTTUR ON 14.3.2006

Puttur, organized 'Cashew Day' on 14.3.2006. The theme of the programme was 'Strategies for increasing yield of cashew'. This programme was organized at both the campuses (Kemminje and Shanthigodu). More than 250 farmers participated. Cahsew demonstration farmers who lifted cashew grafts from the centre for cultivation during 2004 and 2005 planting season, members of farmers' associations, officials from developments related to cashew were invited through invitations and by giving wider publicity through AIR and Newspapers.
