摘要

The experiment on the organic methods for cashew root stock production was conducted to select the best organic source of nutrients in the preparation of potting mixture and to find the influence of biofertilizer inoculation on the growth of cashew seedlings. Early germination and higher germination percentage were obtained with the cow dung and coirpith compost containing potting mixtures compared to poultry manure. The combined inoculation of Azospirillum, PSB and AMF in the potting mixture inducedearly germination with better germination percentage. Out of the three biofertilizers AMF was found to be the best. The biometric characters were observed to be maximum in the potting mixture containing sand:soil:cowdung+Azospzrillum+PSB+AMF. From thisstudy, it was seen that among the different potting mixtures, sand:soil:cowdung was the best and a further boosting of the rootstocks were achieved with the combined inoculation of Azospirillum, PSB and AMF.
