摘要

In trials at the experimental farm of Annamalai University in the rainy seasons of 1992 and 1993, basal application of diammonium phosphate (DAP) at 500 kg/ha plus Azospirillum and phosphorus-solubilizing bacteria in various combinations of seed treatment, soil application and root dipping produced significantly higher seedling height, number of leaves, root volume and root dry matter production in nursery plants of rice cv. ADT 38 than application of DAP alone. The DAP + biofertilizer treatment gave grain yields of 5.59 t/ha in the main field as compared with 2.30 t/ha recorded with application of DAP alone to the nursery.
