We study experimentally the erosion of the electrodes that are made of a two-component material that is based on copper with differing iron and nickel content. We determine the erosion of the electrode material that is produced using the melt technology and the powder technology. The experiments are performed on alternating-current arc plasmatrons of power to 20 kW at commercial (50 Hz) and high (5 kHz) frequencies.
