Testing of polymer films as material for waterproofing of the equipment of heap leaching installations

Results from tests of polymer films to determine their suitability for waterproofing of the equipment of heap leaching installations used with noble metals are presented. A technique based on modeling the effects of different factors of heap leaching is proposed. It is found that polymer films 0.46-0.48 mm in thickness may be used as waterproofing coatings in carrying out heap leaching processes.
