Results from studies carried out by the Department of Rare Metals and Powder Metallurgy of the Moscow State Institute of Steel and Alloys in the area of mechanical activation of tungsten minerals prior to hydrometallurgical decomposition of the minerals by means of solutions of soda, alkali, and nitric acid are generalized. It is shown that the use of planetary centrifugal mills is promising as a way of intensifying fabrication processes.
