Check Calculation of Threaded Joints Subject to a Splitting Force and a Tipping Moment, Taking Account of Contact Pliability

摘要

The proposed check-calculation method for a threaded joint subject to a splitting (rupture) force and a tipping moment is more precise than the existing method, because the contact pliability is taken into account if the contacting surfaces are ground, turned, milled, or planed. Sample calculated are presented for components of vehicles and gear systems.
