摘要

A study was conducted to determine the micronutrient (Fe, Cu, Mn and Zn) content in important tree foliages (Trema orientalis, Lagerstroemia speciosa and Ficus hookeri) during summer, rainy, winter and spring seasons in Nagaland, India. The rhizosphere of the trees was analysed for soil texture, ph, organic carbon, and contents of N, P, K, Mn, Zn, Cu and Fe. The soil texture for T. orientalis, L. speciosa and F. hookeri was sandy clay loam, loamy clay and sandy clay loam, respectively. The results revealed that the concentrations of different micronutrients differ significantly among the trees and seasons. The contents of different micronutrients in the foliages were observed to be higher or similar compared with the suggested required range for all classes of ruminants. Thus, these foliages could be a potential feed source throughout the year.
