RESPONSE OF HYBRID NAPIER TO VARYING LEVELS OF NITROGEN UNDER RAINFED CONDITIONS

Hybrid Napier is a perennial, erect growing, strong and nutritious fodder plant suitable for cultivation under varying soil conditions. It has wide adapatabihty with good quality herbage. However, no information is available on its nutntional requirement especially nrtrogen under the rainfed conditions of Intermediate Zone of j&K The present study was carried out to assess the effect of applicat.on of nitrogen on the growth and yield under rainfed conditions in the mid to h.gh alititude intermediatezone at Regional Agricultural Research Station Farm, Raioun.
