EFFECT OF GROWING MEDIA ON THE GROWTH OF BAUHINIA VARIEGATA LINN. SEEDLING

摘要

The experiment conducted on the effect of growing media (soil,sand and FYM in 1:1:0, 1:1:1, 1:2:1, 1:2:2, 1:2:4, and 1:3:6 ratios) on the growth of nursery grown Bauhinia variegata Linn, seedlings exhibited that the composition of growing medium influenced the growth of shoot, root and caliper. Growing medium containing nursery soil, sand and FYM in 1:2:4 ratio resulted in better growth performance of the seedlings than the remaining treatments.
