Occurrence of vesicular arbuscular mycorrhizae in Buchanania lanzan and Cordia dichotoma.

This study was conducted from July 2004 to June 2005 at the National Research Centre for Agroforestry in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, India, to evaluate the status of vesicular arbuscular mycorrhizal (VAM) fungi in the rhizosphere of chironji (Buchanania lanzan) and lasoda (Cordia dichotoma). Both chironji and lasoda exhibited moderate levels of colonization by VAM fungi. Glomus was the most predominant genus, followed by Acaulospora and Scutellospora..
