Periodical growth and phenology of 4-year-old neem in semi-arid region

Growth in dbh, height and crown diameter of 4-year-old neem trees were maximum between July to September and minimum during January-March, however, the trees continued to grow through out the year. The variation in different growth periods of these parameters were highly significant. In trees, new leaves appeared upto second week of April. The peak flowering was from April 15th to May 15th and fruiting closed upto second fortnight of May. Time of seed collection in this region was from 20th June to15th July.
