摘要

Seven types of non-linear functions for height-diameter relationship of Populus deltoides tree growing in agroforestry systems in Haryana, India, were fitted and the model H=exp (1.618+0.196 D0.587) was adjudged best on the basis of statistical criteria. The developed model was validated on an independent data set and predictions were found precise. Residuals analysis indicates that the model do not violate assumptions of regression theory. The developed model was found better than linear model in precision and may be used for estimation of tree height.
