Performance of grasses in levelled and slopy sand stone mine spoils

摘要

The paper shows the performance of grasses viz., Setaria anceps, Pennisetum purpurcum, Vetiveria zizanioides and Eragrostis curvula in sand stone mine spoils at Deothi in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. The study reveals that addition of forest soil and FYM increases the survival, yield and biomass of the grasses, It was observed that performance of grasses was better in levelled area as compared to slopy area.
