Phytosociological variations in three Pinus roxburghii sargent stands in mid hill of Himachal Pradesh

The study regarding phytosociological attributes of grasses was conducted at Solan in Himachal Pradesh. Total eleven grass species were recorded on different aspects. Under Chirpine, the number of grass species was less as compared to open grasslands at all the study sites. Species diversity, species richness and density of grasses were influenced by the Chirpine canopy. South-western aspect showed more variation as compared to other aspects as regards phytosociological characters. There was an increase in species diversity, density and richness of vegetation from July onward at all the aspects.
