Laserwelding of polymers

摘要

Regarding to the strict environmental directives, the economic view-points, and the needs of recycling, laser welding is the best way to bind plolymers. In case of polymer welding the materails need to have different transmissivity to laser radiation. During welding, the most important issue is to determine the connection between the strength of the welding and the energy intake of the laser system. With the correct laser parameters we can dramatically reduce the cycle-time, which leads to better economics in a standardized production.
